Development of Semiconductors and Pulsed Power Sensors in Russia

How do we define a semi-conductor? It’s generally produced of materials with an appointed resistance (it is among that of a conductor and a non-conductor). Changes in temperature or the part of “impurities” also affect the resistance.

Moore’s law gave way to the development of thyristors manufactures. Lithography is the main factor of manufacturing complicated power semi-conductor devices at lower price. Concerning optical lithography, it now gives way to the development of new techniques as it has reached its development limit. Presumedly ultraviolet lithography and nano-imprint lithography are to become the successors to optical lithography. There are more potential variants. For example x-ray lithography and electron beam lithography these days. Such a necessary thing as current sensors was brought into life in Russia. Sensors are used everywhere for various needs. They meet their application in business, industrial and personal devices. The sensors can be of various value and form. For example those motion detectors signaling on the light flashes or even radiation measurers.
But if the voltage sensor is single it can’t work. There are numerous destinations for using power system dispatchers. They are necessary to maintain system parameters like voltage, frequency, power flow, to keep an eye on the state of circuit breakers in substation and the planned interchange of power with the neighboring power systems. System signals and the actions against them are also in their accurate control.
The controllers function correctly in all these circumstances if they are provided with a detailed snap-shot of the power system. The information is received from some computers in different sub-stations. The position of CB’s, fuses holders, analog values and isolators or other variations of sub-station level data acquisition was 1st captured in the RTU. Russia and China are now the most active exporters in this sphere.
